Hi and welcome to LearnAboutYourWorld.com.
It is my intention that this site will be a wonderful resource for you and your children, as well as providing entertainment. I am in the process of creating a series of books for children, beginning with this particular series of arthropods (covering insects and invertebrates).
Each book contains a short fictional story that I hope the children will enjoy.
After the story, there are pages of educational information and images, and links to authority sites with additional information.
There is much to learn about the world we live in and the important role all species play to maintain a healthy planet; thanks to the Internet this information is readily available to us.
My desire is to encourage children, and adults too, to look with curiosity and respect at the world around us.
This will be an ever-growing site, with books added to the series over time. It is my intention to regularly add a new book, with a goal of about 12 books in the insect series.
I will, in time, also have affiliate links to products that I feel you may be interested in. An affiliate link means that if you click on the link I will get a small payment, but this cost is not passed on to you.
If you would like to be advised of new releases or any upcoming promotional activities, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org so that I can let you know. Also, please feel free to drop me a line at if you have any comments, recommendations or requests to make. My aim is to make this site a fun place to be.
Thanks for taking the time to visit. I hope you will subscribe so that you can be notified of any promotional free days for books in this series.
I have recently decided to include a Science Series to LearnAboutYourWorld. I’ve created another website at www.theheavenlybodies.com where you will find articles and my latest book about Outer Space. It is my intention to add to this series, which will happen over time. I would love to see you there.
A TIP in case you’re accessing this website on a mobile device. Apparently accessing some pages on a mobile device may not work due to memory issues. The fix for this is to go to the browser and clear out your cache; you may have to do this a few times. I had the same problem with my iPad and I found a partial solution on this site: wikihow.com. The instructions are for an iPhone but it will be the same for iPad. However, I still found that I needed to hit the refresh icon on the browser for some pages. This problem appears to be a memory issue and is not restricted to this website. I hope this Tip helps you if you are experiencing similar problems.
